Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) - A high performance engineering thermoplastic which excels in high temperature environments. These semi-crystalline polymers have excellent mechanical properties and thermal stability, excellent chemical resistance and compressive strength.
With a glass transition temperature of 289° F (143°C) and a melting temperature of 649° F (373°C), modified compositions of PEEK deliver extended high temperature performance, while offering all the key characteristics of natural PEEK , including toughness, strength and chemical resistance. PEEK is inherently fire retardant. It is easier to burn a hole through an aluminum sheet than through one made from PEEK!
PEEK materials offer continuous use at 500° F (260 º C), exceptional chemical resistance and excellent performance in high pressure steam. PEEK is increasingly finding applications in industrial markets like energy (down-hole petroleum, nuclear and hydro) and chemical processing as temperature requirements increase, chemicals become harsher and production downtime due to component failure is critical.

Tetralene currently processes PEEK with our proven proprietary DCMS (Dynamic Cast Molding System) process - - a new state-of-the-art processing for Near-net-Shape with no inclusions or porosity, minimizing the annealing process. We also provide Injection and Compression molded billets in addition to our DCMS tubes. Tetralene further provides its' customers, typically in the oil and gas, mining, pulp and paper and industrial service companies with either custom machined components or finished billets to re-finishers for those that can produce or manufacture their own components.
